Financial Aid
Federal student aid is money from the federal government, specifically, the United States Department of Education, that helps you pay for college, career school, or graduate school expenses. More than $150 billion in federal student aid is available through grants, work-study, and loans every year!
How Do I Apply?
- Create an FSA ID! Students, parents, and borrowers should create their own FSA ID. Your FSA ID is used to confirm your identity and electronically sign your federal student aid documents. Create a FSA ID online!
- Complete the free application for federal student aid (FAFSA)!
When Can I Complete the FAFSA?
The FAFSA is available on October 1, 2020, for students attending college 2021–2022. We will require you to report income and tax information from 2019. Students must reapply for federal aid each year.
