Copper Canyon High School Intervention Team
The Copper Canyon High School Intervention Team is committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional well‑being of all students. Our team works collaboratively to remove barriers, connect students with resources, and promote a safe, inclusive school environment.
Our Intervention and Prevention Specialists, Claudia Betancourt and Kelli Russell, serve as key supports for students on campus. They provide early intervention, prevention programming, student check‑ins, and ongoing guidance to help students build the skills needed for personal and academic success. Their work focuses on fostering positive behaviors, strengthening school connectedness, and ensuring students feel supported throughout their high school experience.
The team also includes Ms. Rachelle Ernster, our School Social Worker, who assists with student and family needs that may impact school success. She offers individual support, crisis response, and connections to community resources such as food, clothing, housing, medical care, and mental health services.
